Balancing Roles: A Journey Through Energy, Family, and Community

Twelve years ago, I moved to the UK carrying not just a suitcase, but a wealth of experience from Latin America, a deep passion for the energy sector, and a commitment to keep growing—professionally and personally.

With over 25 years in the energy, oil and gas industry, I’ve worked across continents and technical domains.

For the past 3 years, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to global projects at TRACS International as a Principal Reservoir Engineer and Business Development Consultant. My work includes reserves and resources evaluations, managing field development plans, and providing technical and commercial support across a range of complex assets.

At the same time, I wear another very important hat: I’m a mother to three wonderful children. And like many women in this field, I constantly juggle the demands of career and family, pushing through challenges that many still underestimate—long hours, international meetings, and the emotional load of keeping everything running at home.

It’s not easy. But with a strong Latin-American network of friends, colleagues, and mentors, and a deep sense of purpose, I’ve learned to navigate these parallel worlds.

I also dedicate time to something I deeply believe in—supporting other women in our industry. I’ve been honoured to volunteer as part of the Women in Energy (WIE) committee of London for the WIE SPE London Annual Seminar, helping to create space for dialogue, visibility, and connection among women in energy.
