The conference was sold out and a number of excellent talks covered regulations and planning, storage site characterisation, legacy well integrity modelling and remediation, project planning and injector designs. Tim presented a talk on day 2 that covered three topics
- Modelling of brine cushion injection to mitigate CO2 plume migration in saline aquifers (Ed Stephens)
- Comparison of simulations of the Joule Thompson effect during CO2 injection into depleted gas reservoirs (Tian Xia)
- Geomechanical considerations during CO2 injection including thermal effects and the role of halite (Tim Wynn)
