Reservoir architecture of submarine fans in confined basins with high net-to-gross reservoirs. Spectacular examples of reservoir margins in stratigraphically trapped fields. Supported by outcrop-based static, dynamic and seismic models, including 4D forward-modelling for production performance.

Partly road-side, some local near-town walks, some strenuous walking.

Annot, SE France; fly in/out Nice. Optional night in Nice (depending on flights). Drive in to Annot on day 1 taking in outcrops around St Antonin. 2 – 3 nights in Annot. Optional last night in Nice.

Mark develops and runs courses in the Open Air, Reservoir, E&P, Uncertainty & Risk and Energy Transition series for TRACS. He has a career background at Shell, AGR, TRACS and Langdale Geoscience. He has served as a distinguished lecturer for SPE and EAGE, acted as Training Director for TRACS and is an Associate Professor Heriot-Watt University. He is also co-author of the textbook ‘Reservoir Model Design’.
