The course was designed to ‘level the playing field’ for commercial staff covering essential terminology and technology, but as viewed from the end-user rather than the technical practitioner.

The aim is to give commercial staff the ‘questions to ask’ petro-technical teams and enable them to discuss petro-technical deliverables such as field performance forecasts with insight.

Course Content

The course consists of five modules each of which cover one the following stages of an asset lifetime:

  • Gaining entry and exploration drilling
  • Estimation of ‘hydrocarbons in place’ and reserves
  • Development concept generation and selection
  • Process design and construction
  • Production management and abandonment

Duration is 4-5 days.
