The Early Development Series is designed for groups of new entrants to the industry such as graduate intake. Courses have also been designed for groups of mature hires who are new to the oil and gas industry.
These programmes are typically multi-disciplinary in content and attract a cross-disciplinary audience. Courses range in scope from one-week events to complete programmes running for several weeks. For training programmes, individual courses may be phased over several months and can be combined with on-the-job training at the client office.
TRACS Training professionals work with the client company’s training specialist on the instructional design of these courses and programmes to ensure the content fits the specific learning and development needs of their staff. The course content can either draw on existing TRACS material or client company data may be built into the courses. In the latter case the resulting training product becomes the property of the client company.
The programmes generally include a team-building component, which can be classroom – or field-based. An analysis of team performance using established profiling techniques (e.g. Myers-Briggs assessments) can be built into the programmes. Non-technical aspects of personal development such as presentation skills and cross-cultural team working can also be included.
Feedback on personal and team-based performance can be given, optionally associated with personal performance assessments.
