The E&P Overview Series is aimed at audiences looking for a succinct high-level summary of the E&P business.
The overview courses aim to cover the breadth of the industry.
The scope of the courses extends across the whole business lifecycle from country entry through to exploration, appraisal, development, production and decommissioning. Sections on the future of the oil and gas industry and pertinent current issues such as carbon capture and storage can be included. As with all TRACS material, the actual content and emphasis are tailored to specific client needs.
The courses are typically short – one to three days duration depending on the depth required. The most concise delivery requested to date has been a 60-minute version of the E&P lifecycle.
All courses are highly discursive, aiming to entertain as well as to inform, and include the use of hand samples and video material in addition to the usual course material.
Two – or three-day programmes allow time for hands-on exercises and greater depth, and are more appropriate for technical staff who would benefit from a deeper awareness of technical aspects outside their own discipline. These courses use TRACS case study material for the exercises and increased video content to illustrate E&P case histories.
Additional technical material can be added to make this a one-week programme appropriate for groups of technical support staff who have an awareness of the breadth of the business but who would benefit from hands-on exposure to technical issues across the lifecycle.
