The diverse geology of Scotland’s East Coast gives excellent opportunities to observe Palaeozoic and Mesozoic clastic and carbonate reservoirs in a variety of structural styles in addition to world-class oil and gas source rocks. Extensive, easily accessible outcrops provide analogues for many global reservoirs and fields and are ideal locations to discuss a wide range of exploration, development, production, decommissioning and carbon storage topics.
Once a specific Subsurface topic, opportunity, issue, or concern is identified by a client, they work with TRACS field and technical experts to build a bespoke field-based team workshop where outcrops are chosen to mirror the chosen topic. Through observation, team exercises and brainstorming the topic is addressed, resulting in a better understanding of the topic and the development of an action plan to progress it.

A workshop/visit would normally be built to run for 2-3 days, but this can be customised to meet the client’s needs and requirements.
